President Trump recently announced that he plans to issue an executive order to revoke birthright citizenship to children born in the United States to noncitizens. The firm’s David Coale appeared live on WFAA Ch. 8 and KDFW FOX 4 to explain the language of the 14th amendment. Coale says the president has the power to affect how the constitution is implemented. “Just because the constitution says this is the basic principle doesn’t mean the executive doesn’t have a great deal of discretion as to how to enforce that,” says Coale to FOX 4.
